I haven't realised how long its been since my last blog post.

In the changing of seasons and nearing the end of a second lockdown. We find contentment at home by paying attention to what we already have. Time spent with family in the kitchen, enjoying new recipes and lots of comfort foods. Its kind of annoying to admit we are what we eat.

Although I usually eat pretty healthy. I have found new inspiration and have been on a ever learning and discovering journey with Medical Medium Anthony William's book Cleanse to Heal. His recommended foods and cleansing programs are simple to follow, delicious and show great results. Apart from my daily lemon water, and celery juice kick - start in the morning, I am loving his liver rescue salad among many others.

Liver Rescue Salad

8 Cups any variety of leafy greens (spinach, arugula, butter lettuce, romaine, kale, etc)

1 lemon, lime or orange juiced.

Sugar snap peas, bell pepper, basil, parsley, apple, cucumber, micro greens and radish.

Optional Orange 'Vinaigrette' Dressing

1 cup of orange juice

1 garlic clove

1 teaspoon of raw honey

1\4 cup water

1\8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Enjoy

The energy shift is significant and its always fascinating to see how the body wants to heal itself, giving the right nutrition. I am inspired to share the quote at the back of the book which I think will resonate with everyone.

'Its not survival of the fittest.

Its not that people who haven't been trapped by chronic symptoms simply understand the secrets of life better than those who get sick.

Its survival of the ones who come into this world less toxic, with lots of love, support, and resources at the same time, and then happen to stay that way while here on earth.

If you have ever found yourself lying in bed, scrolling through somebody's feed of waterfalls, beaches, and smoothie bowls with peanut butter, wondering where you went wrong, to land yourself on your little mattress island apart from the world, know this:

you didn't go wrong.

You are not faulty or less-than. The reality is that outside circumstances and inherited poisons and pathogens, not internal weaknesses, determine the challenges we face - and someone who has suffered health challenges can change their fate. The key is to know how prevention and healing really work.'

- Anthony William, Medical Medium

Please stay healthy and well, self care is necessary to ensure we remain healthy and productive and a reminder to always have compassion for yourself.
